- Lemon Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, then vanilla and lemon zest.
- Alternately mix in dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture. Fold in blackberries gently.
- Pour batter into the pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Cool before applying glaze.
- For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Drizzle over the cake.
Notes
- If using frozen blackberries, do not thaw to prevent bleeding into the batter.
- Lemon zest enhances the blackberry flavor, but can be omitted for a simpler taste.
